The organ in the parish church of Santa María de Costitx, one of the municipality's most unique heritage pieces, is currently undergoing a new phase of restoration and study. The instrument, which has accompanied the town's liturgical celebrations for decades, is part of the Pla de Mallorca organ collection and represents a key element of its musical memory. Therefore, thanks to the initiative of local residents, this organ will soon be able to play again, fully restored. The project has been spearheaded by Jordi Fiol, whose drive, along with the collaboration of other residents, such as pianist and conservatory professor Andrea Díaz, and the restoration work of master organist Wilfried Praet, has ensured that the parish organ will soon be heard once more. The restoration cost, estimated at around €40,000, will have been covered by the townspeople and the Town Hall.
