      <title><![CDATA[Who has access to culture in the Balearic Islands?]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/0914ae80-4d04-44a1-b620-312ea5945ba6_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>Many readers have probably never heard of cultural rights. And upon hearing them mentioned, they might assume they pertain to those within the cultural sector, having nothing to do with them. As with concepts like heteropatriarchy or gentrification, it seems that cultural rights have only recently entered the public discourse and are perceived as affecting only a few very specific areas, when in reality they have a structural dimension and are already enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, signed in 1948, specifically regarding the cultural life of the community and the enjoyment of the arts. Even so, these rights are far from being guaranteed in the Balearic Islands.</p>]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[Mention artists reinvent the demons of San Antonio for the ARA Baleares]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/b9c65f22-3554-4371-b42c-7c7ab87879f7_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>Serge Bloch's illustrations parade one after another in a slow downward scroll on the large screen that Mònica Cuenca uses to explain the concept of the workshop she leads. One of the artists from the Mention Art Workshop raises her hand and asks to be shown one of the images for a closer look. It is a work that combines the <em>collage</em> With thick, spontaneous lines, characteristic of Bloch, the resulting image is a potato, with drawn horns and wings, eating a magazine logo. Then, at the workshop leader's request, Mònica focuses on a ceramic plate that winks at the viewer.</p>]]></description>

The authors are children and young people from the Amadip-Esment Art Workshop. This is one of the countless initiatives of this Foundation which, for those who don't know, serves around 2,500 people annually, many of them with intellectual disabilities.</p>]]></description>
