It's as if they've lost confidence," the same sources explain. "We're attending to cases, but fewer than before. We hope we'll recover," they add. Meanwhile, the service is operational and prepared to attend to any pregnant women who come, whatever their problem may be.

More than 20 organizations have expressed their concern over the reduction in Gynecology and Obstetrics services at Manacor Hospital, following the activation of a contingency plan that has left the delivery room virtually without routine procedures. Health sources confirmed that the contingency plan will be deactivated this week, with the aim of allowing the service to return to normal and resume attending to all births without restrictions. The statement, signed by the Levante Women's Collective and more than 20 other associations, denounces that this situation jeopardizes women's rights and the quality of public service. "We wish to express our concern following the recent negative news regarding the reduction in Gynecology services at Manacor Hospital," they state, and emphasize that their demands are "centered on women's rights and the rights of all people, based on human values."
