A total of seven members of the so-called 'Sheriff' clan were sentenced on Tuesday to prison terms ranging from six months to five and a half years for attacking members of another clan called the 'Peludos' at their home and attempting to kill some of them. The defendants reached a plea agreement with the prosecution on Tuesday, which had initially sought 50-year prison sentences for each of them on charges of attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms, and threats. Ultimately, only two of the defendants were convicted of attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms, and threats, receiving five and a half years in prison.
