The Government has clarified that the traffic restrictions planned for August 12, due to the eclipse, will apply to all motor vehicles, including motorcycles and mopeds. The measure is part of the Eclipbal operation, the special public security and emergency plan designed to manage one of the most important astronomical events of recent years.

The Palma Local Police broke up a massive drinking party with a large number of young people, many of them minors, and illegal street races involving motorcycles and cars on the Son Roca road. According to information provided by the force, the operation took place on February 6th, resulting in 50 people being identified, 40 vehicles (mainly mopeds) being inspected, nine motorcycles being impounded, and four drug-related charges being filed.
