The festival will take place in Palma at three points throughout the year: March, October, and the Christmas holidays. The first block will be held this March, kicking off on the 13th with a grand opening gala at the Teatro Principal in Palma, featuring María Terremoto and Mala Rodríguez in a unique performance that combines flamenco and rap. The program continues on March 15th at the Es Gremi venue with dancer La Tania, one of the leading figures in contemporary flamenco. On March 17th, the Xesc Forteza Theatre will host a concert by artists who have received grants from the festival. On the 19th, Es Baluard Museu will host guitarist Mercedes Luján, who will share the stage with Rancapino Chico. The first section will conclude on March 21st at the Fundació Miró Mallorca with an intergenerational concert and workshop dedicated to ceramic ocarinas and flutes, in a program that combines music, crafts, and sound experimentation. Festival director Soledad Bescós highlighted during the presentation—held this Thursday at Palma City Hall—that the project, now five years old, has "built a solid artistic community and its own identity," keeping alive the creative legacy of Paco de Lucía. Following this first block, the festival will resume in October, with a renewed focus on female talent and the participation of Queralt Lahoz, a leading figure in new urban flamenco. The organizers also announced that a top-tier international artist will be joining the lineup soon.
