The Ombudsman has opened an investigation into the Palma City Council following a complaint filed by Ben Amics, which accuses the Consistory of violating fundamental rights due to the repeated difficulties that, according to the entity, it has placed in organizing the Pride events.

Indignation and bewilderment among the devil groups of Palma after the City Council has limited to 11 the number of annual correfocs in the neighborhoods of the entire City. The measure, recently approved, represents a radical change from the previous situation, in which there was no limit and activities were managed according to the demand and organizational capacity of the neighborhoods and the groups.

The Ombudsman of Palma, Anna Moilanen, has issued a warning about the paralysis of municipal subsidies: if the situation is not resolved quickly, "it could mean the disappearance of a part of the associative fabric" of the City. The suspension, which is already extending towards the fifth month without a clear resolution timeline, affects "a wide range of activities – educational, sports, cultural, social, and neighborhood – and puts services at risk" which, in some cases, compensate for "shortcomings of the Administration itself", she explained.
