Around thirty people gathered this Tuesday in front of the Parliament to demand the negotiation of an autonomous collective agreement for educators of 0 to 3 years, despite the strike that began this same Tuesday on a national level being called off. The protest, called by CCOO, UGT, and STEI, took place this morning before the start of the plenary session in the Chamber.

The educators of nurseries for 0 to 3 year olds are called to a state-wide strike this Thursday, with the forecast of broad participation in the Balearic Islands, as indicated by the organizing unions. CCOO, UGT, and STEI have urged the entire sector to join the protest and have denounced what they consider to be "inactivity" on the part of employers' associations.

The strike in the 0-3 early childhood education sector, called for next May 7 in the Balearic Islands, anticipates significant participation, in a context of growing discontent among workers. This Monday, dozens of professionals gathered in front of the PIMEM headquarters in Palma to denounce the deadlock in negotiations and the lack of response from employers' associations.
