The Museum of Footwear and Industry of Inca has officially joined the International Council of Museums (ICOM), a global organization dedicated to the development of museums and sector professionals. The Inca City Council pointed out this Monday that the accession represents recognition of the museum's work in the conservation, research, and dissemination of heritage related to the history of footwear and the city's industry. The incorporation will also allow for the establishment of links with an international network of museums and professionals to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.

The Museum of Footwear and Industry of Inca hosts a cultural day on May 14th with participatory activities, an exhibition, and a fashion show to highlight the cultural, artisanal, and cooperation links between Mallorca and Senegal.
