The Less Tourism, More Life Platform has once again defended that actions directed against illegal tourist rental housing "are not violence", while considering that the effects of the tourism model on the territory and the population are. The collective made this statement in a press release responding to the controversy generated by its Manual of Action Against Touristification, after criticism from the Government, the Spanish government delegation, political parties, tourism sector employers' associations, and social and environmental organizations (including some affiliated with the July 26th demonstration, such as GOB and Terraferida).

The environmental organizations GOB and Terraferida, promoters of the demonstration against mass tourism on July 26 in Palma, have distanced themselves this Wednesday from the manual published last Tuesday by the platform Menys Turisme, Més vida through their social media profiles.

The platform Menys Turisme, Més Vida has defended the controversial direct action manual disseminated this Tuesday, which includes proposals for action against tourist housing, establishments that it considers responsible for gentrification processes, and other elements linked to the tourism model. In a few hours, the manual has sparked numerous reactions from employers' associations such as HABTUR, CAEB, Pimem, and Pimeco, but also from unions such as CCOO and UGT, which unanimously condemn the motive of the initiative.
