The Palma City Council denied this Wednesday that any protected heritage element has been demolished during the works for a new urban development in Sant Jordi. Cort is responding in this way to the reports that pointed to the destruction of two talaiots in an area where the construction of 118 homes is planned.

The residents of Sant Jordi reported this Wednesday the disappearance of several elements they consider to be heritage of the area for the construction of a new development of more than a hundred homes. According to what they explained, an excavator demolished two structures that the residents had identified as talaiots, even though the Palma City Council claims they were not protected heritage elements.
