The storm Adam has caused the partial collapse of the roof of the old Iris cinema, in Palma, and has forced the preventive closure of three classrooms in two municipal nursery schools. The incident occurred this Tuesday and did not cause any personal injury, according to the Palma City Council.

Palma City Council has unanimously approved the purchase of Can Pesquet, in Son Sardina, and the former Iris cinema, in El Viver, two spaces that could be converted into new public facilities for both neighborhoods. The proposal must now go through next week's municipal plenary session.
