The Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory, located in Almeria, has recorded a super fireball originated from a rock detached from a comet that entered the Earth's atmosphere at an estimated speed of 238,000 kilometers per hour, at a point located northeast of the Balearic Islands. The episode took place between September 10 and 11 and is part of the high-luminosity phenomena detected in recent days by the Calar Alto observation systems.
