Ibiza has grown much faster than its housing. In the last 25 years, the island's population has increased by almost 83%, while the number of homes has done so by about 40%. The imbalance between both growth rates places the accumulated housing deficit at 43.18%, according to data from the Balearic Housing Observatory (OHIB).
