The Ministry of the Sea and the Water Cycle has decided to sanction the company Novastar Ibiza SL for extracting groundwater without administrative authorization and using it for the irrigation of a private golf course in Llucmajor. As ARA Balears has been able to confirm, the file from the General Directorate of Water Resources, which classifies the events as a serious infringement, also establishes the obligation to repair the damage caused to the public hydraulic domain. The facility is located on a rustic estate in the municipality and coincides with the characteristics of one of the two private golf courses that Terraferida reported in May for excessive water consumption.
