The Palma Court, however, has sentenced him to 38 years of psychiatric internment. Miquel Binimelis was declared "not criminally responsible" by the Public Prosecutor's Office after he was diagnosed with a severe mental disorder and, for this reason, he has been acquitted of all criminal liability. The man must compensate his sister with 50,000 euros and the National Police officers he attacked when they went to arrest him with a total of 2,520 euros.

Miquel Oliver Gomila (Més-Esquerra) will cease to be mayor of Manacor this Thursday, after more than seven years at the head of the City Council, to prepare his candidacy for the presidency of the Council of Mallorca in the May 2027 elections. The plenary session of the Manacor City Council has unanimously approved requesting the Government that the 2027 regional budget incorporate "a specific and sufficient item, of a minimum of 9,031,095 euros, to guarantee the execution of the new health center and SUAP and ensure that the works can begin during 2027".
