The Balearic Government has voted against the new financing system presented by the Ministry of Finance, which was approved this Friday at the Fiscal and Financial Policy Council (CPFF) held in Madrid thanks to the favorable votes of the state government, Catalonia, and the Canary Islands. The First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation, Antoni Costa, justified the opposing vote "with total conviction," understanding that "not a single one of the unanimous claims" of the Balearic Islands has been taken into account.

The Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts has sent a statement to the Bureau of Congress in which it exercises its veto over the bill for airport co-management in the Balearic Islands. The official document argues, among other issues, that allowing regional intervention in the administration of airports would cause a significant drop in public revenue and would negatively affect "Aena's aeronautical revenue". The loss for this year, it assures, would be around 32.9 million euros. MÉS per Mallorca has denounced the position of Pedro Sánchez's executive and has demanded that the President of Congress, Francina Armengol, make a move.

The president of the Association of Ecological Agricultural Production of Mallorca (Apaema), Miquel Coll, takes stock of the legislature regarding agriculture. The Government will invest 5.58 million euros from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) to reinforce the water cycle infrastructures of eleven municipalities in the Serra de Tramuntana. Less than nine months before the insular elections, Llorenç Galmés faces the last political year with the vehicle limitation pending in Parliament, decisions to be finalized on tourist places, and the Tirme contract questioned by Intervention, among others. The president of the Consell de Mallorca claims to have fulfilled more than 95% of the government agreements, while the opposition focuses on the issues that remain open.

Neither the mayoress Catalina Soler Carreixeta nor her partner from El Pi, Jaume Monserrat, wanted to pass under the emblematic symbol of El Cosso and were escorted by the Police towards an alternative exit. The Balearic Islands Government has considered the aid of 25 million euros for the care of migrant children in Ceuta "insufficient" and has reiterated that the Islands "cannot" accept minors from a distribution. UGT Public Services reported this Thursday that the strike in protest against precariousness at the Son Reus municipal kennels, in Palma, which began indefinitely last Monday at 2 p.m., has one hundred percent follow-up. The mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez, has invited citizens to participate in a demonstration in the Plaça de Cort on Wednesday, September 2, at 8:00 PM, coinciding with Ceuta Day, in solidarity with the autonomous city and to "defend the territorial integrity" of Spain. The same square that just a month ago "was saturated with events" and that prevented the outdoor dinner organized by Brunzzit from being held normally, has been denounced by Podem. The City Council has thus joined the call by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces to gather in front of town halls as a show of solidarity with Ceuta. Martínez pointed out that "what is happening in Ceuta concerns everyone" and that it "must serve as a warning" to the Islands, as he highlighted in a video published on Instagram.
