This question has been behind several recent moves in Madrid: Gabriel Rufián's (ERC) call to build a republican front and Yolanda Díaz's announcement that she will not run again as Sumar's candidate in 2027. For now, MÁS per Mallorca has avoided commenting on these changes or giving any clues about its future. But the debate engulfing the left affects them directly. Is it worth having a member of parliament in Congress? If they run again in a coalition, what alliances would be best? What role should Balearic eco-sovereignism play in Madrid? The sources consulted only agree on the starting point: AraMés must lead the candidacy in the Balearic Islands, whatever form it takes.

This was announced by the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, during the Senate plenary session, where she also stated that the Balearic Government will transfer the management of the remaining plots in Ca n'Escandell to the Ibiza Town Council, provided that the Council allocates them to the Europan project. Rodríguez also stipulated that the transfer of the land is contingent upon the Town Council guaranteeing the "permanent" protection of the urban development project "so that the housing is affordable and 100% public." The minister noted that of the 532 homes planned for Ca n'Escandell, 362 will be built by the state-owned entity Casa 47, and that the project will represent an investment of 100 million euros.

"It's about providing a solution for people who are already here," he emphasized, according to the EFE news agency. Rodríguez was responding to criticism from the regional president, Marga Prohens, whom he accused of adopting "the far-right's migration policies." Rodríguez stressed that the extraordinary regularization is "a courageous measure" to guarantee the socio-labor rights of hundreds of thousands of people. He also noted that the process will begin in April and is expected to take three months, although applicants can begin working legally fifteen days after their applications are accepted. This is the seventh mass regularization—the PSOE carried out four and the PP two, in 2000 and 2001. Rodríguez indicated that the Immigration Department in the Balearic Islands is currently processing 10,800 regularization applications under the current regulations. This would represent the minimum number of people who would benefit from the extraordinary process. According to Spanish government data, there are 102,000 foreigners registered with Social Security in the Balearic Islands, of whom approximately 60,000 are from non-EU countries. The delegate emphasized that regularization "benefits workers, who gain in rights and obligations; companies, which gain in legal certainty; and it helps in the fight against the underground economy."

In the coming days, the Balearic Government will extend protective measures against avian flu to all municipalities in the islands, but will not confine the birds. Currently, control measures only affect municipalities considered high-risk areas, such as Santa Margalida, Muro, Sa Pobla, Pollença, and Alcúdia, and those considered areas of special surveillance, such as Felanitx, Campos, Formentera, Ibiza, San José de Sa Atalaya, Santa Eulalia del Río, Maó, and Es Mercadal. This Thursday, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) ordered the confinement of all poultry in the country, but the ministerial order states that the autonomous communities can adjust the measures to adapt them to the specific circumstances of their farms. The Directorate General of Agriculture has decided to maintain the previously announced protective measures that will allow, as established by state regulations, "the keeping of poultry outdoors, by placing, if possible, bird netting or any other device that prevents the entry of wild birds, and in facilities or shelters that prevent the arrival of wild birds and avoid their contact with the food or water intended for the poultry." Although avian flu has not yet reached the Balearic Islands, the Director General of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, Fernando Fernández, has warned that "the danger is real" and added that there is "very strong" concern about this disease reaching the Islands. Therefore, he reiterated that the measures adopted by the Government "can be maintained as long as there is responsible behavior on the part of farm owners." Similarly, he warned that if the Directorate General becomes aware of widespread non-compliance with the precautions, "more drastic measures will be adopted, including, if necessary, lockdowns." Regarding small-scale poultry farms, Fernández indicated that they are obligated to keep their waterers and feeders in protected locations and that these farms are best suited to establish enclosed feeding stations. However, the Director General pointed out that 70 percent of poultry farms in the Balearic Islands are for personal consumption, making it "practically impossible to enforce this measure with this level of dispersion." Therefore, he expressed his confidence that owners will comply with the measures, protect their hens, and "look out for their own well-being and that of their neighbors." Furthermore, the Directorate General, together with its technical services, has determined that the next resolution will include more intensive inspections of commercial farms to ensure that biosecurity measures are being implemented.

After meeting with Felipe VI at the Marivent Palace, Sánchez defended the Spanish government's structured migration policy and emphasized that the number of migrants across the country has fallen by 27% in the last year, although he acknowledged that the trend in the Balearic Islands is upward. "It is true that the route affecting the islands is not decreasing. Our commitment is to make an effort with the countries of origin and trafficking to stop it."
