Fruit and vegetables lead sales growth, while Mahón-Menorca cheese and wines with a designation of origin also register increases
PalmaEroski sold a total of 69 million euros in local products in the Balearic Islands during 2025, a figure that consolidates the weight of proximity foods within the supermarket chain's offering. The data was released this Tuesday in Campos, during the presentation of a new edition of the 'Productes de Sa Nostra Terra' campaign, with which the company aims to give visibility to producers from the Islands.
Currently, Eroski works with nearly 160 local suppliers and markets around 1,400 items produced or made in the Balearic Islands. As part of the campaign, the chain will promote specific promotions to encourage the consumption of local products.
The director of Eroski in the Balearic Islands, Alfredo Herráez, highlighted that the evolution of sales shows that consumers "value the quality and proximity of products from the Islands" and assured that the company will continue to expand the presence of local producers in its establishments.
