PalmaThis year, the Record Fair will combine international rock from Bala and Will Hoge with a wide representation of the Mallorcan music scene, featuring nine bands from the Islands that will present their new record releases. The program also includes Mötley Queens, a tribute band to Mötley Crüe formed entirely by women, in a proposal that combines concerts, new record releases, and promotion of local talent.

Among the Mallorcan groups that will perform at the fair is Fera, who will present their new work, The Void, with a sound influenced by 90s grunge; Psiconautas, who will release Jungla, and Blunt, who will present a new street punk vinyl. The Psiconautas album features the participation of artists such as the Auserón brothers, Llorenç Santamaria, Anni B Sweet, and Gallen Ayers.

Also performing will be The T-Makers, who will present Inner Planet, a vinyl that combines power pop with sixties rock and indie elements; Foraster, a band from Felanitx that will release their second work, Misericòrdia, in which they fuse alternative rock with Andalusian psychedelia, and Bis·nte, a Palma-based stoner and doom metal group born in 2020 by María J. Lladó and Vicente Payá, previously linked to the gothic and doom metal group Golgotha.

Completing the local representation are Denigrando el Entorno, a punk rock band formed within the Argentine community residing in Mallorca and characterized by their raw sound and the vocalist's humor; Ritual Nepal, an alternative rock group born in 2022, which combines distorted guitars with lyrics mostly in Catalan, which will present the album Ara Venim, and U.R. BAD, a rock band from Portocolom founded in 2022, which fuses classic rock, garagerock and the punk spirit. This last formation will participate as a prize after winning the 2025 Palma Pop Rock contest.

Bala and Will Hoge, the international guests

The programming will be completed with three invited proposals with national and international projection. One of the highlights is Bala, a Galician duo that combines the forcefulness of nineties rock with influences of grunge, stoner, hardcore and punk. Their international trajectory includes concerts in the United States, Japan, Australia, Mexico and Colombia.

Also performing will be the American Will Hoge, who arrives with 15 studio albums released and a career linked to americana, a mixture of rock, country, folk and North American roots music. Throughout his career, he has achieved success on music charts, Grammy nominations and contracts with major record labels, before consolidating his artistic independence. The third proposal is Mötley Queens, a tribute band from Madrid formed entirely by women that pays homage to the group Mötley Crüe with their own personality.

The Record Fair in a previous edition.
This year's edition will take place on October 23rd, 24th and 25th.

Beyond the concerts, the Record Fair aims to strengthen the commercial projection of music made in the Islands with a professional program of meetings in a speedmeeting format. The initiative will connect record labels and local bands with specialized shops, distributors, and professionals arriving from various parts of the State and France. The meetings are open to both Balearic labels and musicians and bands that publish their work independently. Among the Mallorcan companies that will participate are Bubota, Purple Haze (Milana), Güasa Records-Viniloteca, Espora, and Runaway Records, in addition to several groups that self-produce their records.

The goal is to favor the exchange of material and the commercialization of local editions, as well as to facilitate that bands presenting a new work during the fair can distribute it through the participating companies coming from outside the Islands. In this way, the organization wants to contribute to incorporating Balearic productions into new catalogs and expanding their reach. Among the invited professionals are Víctor Manuel Díez de los Ríos, from VPR Records, a label, distributor, and shop in Valencia specialized in rock and roll and punk rock; Àngel Arias, from the Girona shop 69 Revolutions and a sound technician for cultural events; José García Díaz Álvarez, from Iloviu Records, in León, and Francisco Almarche, a Valencian specialist in physical editions and accessories.

Also present will be Manuel Marcos and Esther Gallego, from Tapiman Records, in Madrid; Juan de Dios Fernández, from Discos Xmil, in Cádiz, and Philippe Stoppele, from Disco Buzz-Cheyene Records, in France. Another notable participant is Ramon Gómez Miñano, from Discos Satori, who also has a musical career linked to the ska-punk scene: in the nineties, he began as a keyboardist for Skaparapid and subsequently released solo records.

The professional program includes a talk on tips for releasing records aimed at local groups, with the participation of Víctor Díez, from VPR Records; Ramon Gómez, from Satori, and Pere Terrassa, from Runaway Records. The activity is scheduled for Friday, October 23, within the framework of the professional meetings.

In addition, the program included the conference Experiences within a musician's professional world, led by Paul Collins, Llorenç Santamaria, Pere Terrassa and Alberto Vizcaíno, which already took place during the month of September. With this combination of concerts, record presentations and professional activities, the Record Fair aims to continue being a meeting point for the music sector, to facilitate the distribution of local editions and to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of music made in the Balearic Islands. Tickets are now on sale.
