From Bonet's Paris to the echoes of Cohen on the SonsDeNit program
This Tuesday, July 8th, Bellver Castle will host a unique concert by Maria del Mar Bonet.

PalmThe SonsDeNit festival features several performances that approach singer-songwriter music from different perspectives. The festival featured a performance by Marcel Cranc on July 4th at the Inca Theater, and on July 5th, the Sterlin trio presented their second concert, Sterlin Plays Cohen, dedicated to Leonard Cohen's album Songs of Love and Hate. With new arrangements and Catalan translations by Adela Peraita, the group offers a style of performance that combines detail, care, and a distinctive sound. The repertoire also includes other pieces from Cohen's songbook that they have adopted over the years.
This Tuesday, July 8th, Bellver Castle will host a unique concert as part of the Nights in Bellver series: Maria del Mar Bonet reinterprets herself to commemorate the concert recorded fifty years ago at the Olympia in Paris. This album is part of the country's cultural memory. The performance in the courtyard of Bellver Castle will feature a revamped lineup and a repertoire that revives that significant moment.
On July 12 and 13, Pau Alabajos closes this programming block with two performances in Mallorca. The first concert will be in the gardens of the Manacor History Museum (Torre de los Enagistas), featuring Paz Aguado, a young Valencian singer-songwriter. On July 13, he will perform solo at Sa Farinera de Llubí. The project he presents, Versos en la Viena (Verses in the Vietnamese), sets music to a selection of anti-Franco Catalan poetry, with texts by Maria Mercè Marçal, Joan Brossa, Montserrat Roig, and Estellés. This project aims to recover and circulate voices that continue to resonate today.
