Rels B will offer a free concert in Palma for Mallorca Day
The Mallorcan artist will perform on September 11th between the Parc de la Mar and the Passeig Marítim, one day before being named Favourite Son of Mallorca
PalmaThe Majorcan artist Daniel Heredia, artistically known as Rels B, will offer a free concert in Palma on September 11th to mark Mallorca Day and his appointment as Favorite Son of Mallorca. The performance, organized by the Consell de Mallorca, will begin at 9:30 PM in the area between the Parc de la Mar and the Paseo Marítimo of the Balearic capital.
Rels B himself announced the concert on his social media, where he stated it would be "completely free until capacity is reached." The artist also invited "neighboring islands" to join the celebration.
The concert will be part of the Mallorca Day events. "It is a celebration for all Majorcans and we want citizens to experience and enjoy it in the streets, with culture, music, and with an artist who is a pride for our island," said the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés.
Galmés highlighted the artist's international reach. "Rels B has taken the name of Mallorca all over the world and is a magnificent ambassador for our land," he affirmed. The island president considered that the fact that the musician wants to return to Mallorca to celebrate Mallorca Day with his people and share "such a special moment as the recognition as Favorite Son" is an opportunity for "the entire island to jointly celebrate this pride."
From Son Gotleu to filling stadiums
Born in Palma in 1993, Daniel Heredia grew up in Son Gotleu and began to get into music from a very young age. Before becoming an international star, he worked as a waiter and stonemason and made his way in the urban scene independently. His music starts from hip-hop and R&B and has progressively incorporated influences from trap, reggaeton, Latin pop, and other urban sounds.
Rels B has become one of the main exponents of Spanish urban music and a particularly powerful phenomenon in Latin America. In 2024 and 2025, he was the most listened-to Spanish artist outside of Spain, according to Spotify data, and currently has over 23 million monthly listeners on the platform.
Mallorca, however, continues to occupy a central place in his musical universe. One of his best-known albums, La Isla, is an explicit claim of his origin, while references to the island appear regularly in his songs and concerts.
In 2025, Rels B already headlined one of the most special concerts of his career in his hometown. The musician gathered tens of thousands of people in Son Moix, in his first stadium concert in Spain, as part of the A New Star World Tour. The tour concluded last July with his most massive concert to date, at the Metropolitano in Madrid, in front of about 60,000 people.
Favorite Son of Mallorca
The day after the concert, on September 12, Rels B will be officially named Favorite Son of Mallorca, one of the highest honors awarded by the Consell de Mallorca.
The distinction comes after one of the most important years in the artist's career, who has consolidated his international projection with afroLOVA’25 and love love Flakk. With more than a decade of career, Rels B has gone from the Mallorcan underground scene to becoming one of the Spanish musicians with the most international projection.
He will now perform again in Palma in a concert open to the public that will turn the night of September 11 into the grand prelude to his naming as Favorite Son and into one of the most outstanding musical events of the Diada de Mallorca.
