The streets weren't paved, and for a few years, the area remained untouched by the voracious transformation sweeping through Mallorca. There, amidst pottery, ball games, toy cars, and a few Beatles songs, the musician Miquel Serra grew up happily, along with his older brother, Joan Serra, and Joan Pasqual, who was responsible for putting words to Miquel's childhood.

"Our parents were already friends, but what really brought us together were the summers in Morlanda. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. we were swimming, and after lunch at our respective homes, we'd meet up again to watch some sunset series, like The Great American Hero and Magnum, PIWhen the sun began to set, we'd go out and play ball until nightfall. In those years, Morlanda was like a small, wild haven. In fact, Pasqual remembers how angry they were when they paved the streets and put up streetlights in the development, because they were given the songs. He adds that they even tried to carry out a few small acts of sabotage against these new additions to the streets. The cement prevailed. As a witness, the three friends sang the first songs that would later become part of the soundtrack of their lives. The first to reap the rewards of music was Joan Serra, who began making some recordings with Joan Pasqual: "Even in the early ones, you can already hear Miquel's voice in the background," said Los Cangrejos. This is how Pasqual defines the energy of the two brothers: "Juan was more erratic, visceral, and with a brutal energy that was contagious. Miquel was a sharp, reliable, and very sensitive guy. The three of us understood each other well. Juan, with his sensitivity, was a kind of mentor to Miquel and me. When we played with Els Crancs, we wanted to sound like a pop group, but we struggled to integrate the technology," he recalls.

Aside from music, you can't talk about Miquel Serra's childhood without mentioning comics: "He was a real devourer, especially Ibáñez's." Despite the certain nostalgia that Miquel Serra's music often exudes, Pasqual defends his cheerful character, easygoing nature, and kindness.
