The CIFP Juníper Serra stands out at SpainSkills and reinforces its tourism training offer

PalmaThe CIFP Juníper Serra, a Vocational Training center, has obtained three medals in the latest edition of SpainSkills, the state competition that evaluates the skills of vocational training students throughout Spain. The center achieved gold in Cuisine, silver in Hotel Reception, and bronze in Restaurant and Bar Service, becoming the only center in the Balearic Islands with three awards in this edition of the event.

Beyond the results in the competition, the center stands out especially for its specialization in the field of tourism, one of the main pillars of its educational offering. The CIFP Juníper Serra offers various courses linked to the sector, such as Tourist Guidance, Information and Assistance, Tourist Accommodation Management, and Travel Agencies and Event Management. These qualifications are aimed at professional profiles linked to visitor care, hotel management, and the organization of trips and events, in a sector with high labor demand in the Balearic Islands.

Educational offering

The center also offers a specialization course in personnel coordination for professional meetings, congresses, fairs, and events (MICE sector), aimed at managing human and material resources in these types of activities. With a six-decade trajectory, CIFP Juníper Serra provides training in four major professional families – among which Hospitality and Tourism stands out particularly – and has nearly a thousand students each year, in face-to-face, virtual, and intensive modalities.

In 2022, the center was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Tourism by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, a distinction linked to the development of innovation projects and the modernization of training in this field. The pre-enrollment period for the 2026-2027 academic year will open from June 16 to 30 in the first phase and from August 28 to September 2 in the second phase.
