The Higher School of Design will graduate the 2022-2026 class with a fashion show of five collections
The event will take place this Friday at the Auditorium of the Higher Conservatory of the Balearic Islands and will bring together the students who have completed their higher studies in design
PalmaThe Higher School of Design of the Balearic Islands (ESDIB) will celebrate this Friday, September 25, the graduation ceremony for the 2022-2026 class. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 PM at the Auditorium of the Higher Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, with doors opening scheduled for 7:00 PM. The event will serve to recognize the students who have completed higher design studies at ESDIB, the only public center in the Balearic Islands that offers the degree in Higher Artistic Design Education. The center offers four specialties: Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Product Design.
The graduation will culminate with a fashion show in which five collections created by students of the school will be presented. The runway will serve to showcase part of the work developed during their training and will put an end to the 2022-2026 class event. ESDIB has its origin in the Free School of Drawing founded in Palma in 1778 by the Royal Mallorcan Economic Society of Friends of the Country. Higher artistic design studies were implemented there in the year 2000 and were consolidated within the European Higher Education Area in 2013. Since 2025, the center has been integrated into the Public Business Entity for Higher Artistic Education of the Balearic Islands. The school currently imparts its teachings at the headquarters on Carrer de l'Institut Balear, in Palma, and has specialized workshops for forging, metal, ceramics, wood, models, and fashion-pattern making, among others.
