PollençaA failure in the impulsion pipe of the Alcúdia desalination plant has forced this Sunday to cut off the water supply to several areas of Pollensa, as reported by the City Council.
The incident has interrupted the arrival of water from the desalination plant and has left without service the military base, the nautical club, Ports IB, the sports center of Port de Pollensa, Síller, the industrial estate, Oronella street, the upper part of Calvari, the Can Porquer urbanization (Golf Pollensa) and the cemetery.
In addition to the supply cuts, the City Council has reported that the water pressure in the entire Port de Pollensa network has also been reduced while work is being done to resolve the breakdown.
Almost 24 hours later, the Pollensa Council has announced that the pipe incident has been resolved and that the water supply to the affected areas will be restored during Monday morning. In this regard, they have clarified that it will be done progressively, but that it is expected that everything will return to normal this Monday.
