A group of radical RCD Mallorca fans caused an incident this Sunday morning in front of the Atlético Baleares bar, located between the streets of Sant Ignasi and Tomàs Rullán, a few hours before the derby against Atlético Baleares.
The events took place around 9:50 a.m., more than two hours before the start of the match. According to witnesses gathered by the Palma Local Police, several people threw flares and objects at the premises, including chairs and ashtrays.
A patrol from the Immediate Intervention Unit traveled to the area and began a search of the surrounding streets. Shortly after, the officers located a group of about 40 or 50 people linked to the Mallorca fan base between the streets of Biniamar and Indalecio Prieto.
The group was intercepted without further incidents occurring until the arrival of the National Police, who took charge of the situation. The officers identified the fans.
The incident has not, for the moment, ended with any complaint from the owner of the bar, who has decided not to take action regarding the events. The Segunda RFEF derby between the two Palma teams began at 12 p.m. at the Estadi Balear.
