A man is on trial for allegedly raping his underage stepdaughter for years.
The prosecution is requesting a 15-year prison sentence and €3,000 in compensation for a continuing offense of sexual assault against the victim, who was between 9 and 16 years old.
PalmThe Second Section of the Provincial Court of Palma will hold a trial this Thursday at 12:00 PM against a man accused of repeated sexual assault for allegedly raping his minor stepdaughter on at least twenty occasions in Mallorca. According to the prosecution's indictment, the events began in 2003, when the victim was only nine or ten years old, and continued until 2010, when the girl was between 15 and 16. During this period, the defendant allegedly raped her at least twenty times. The prosecution is requesting a 15-year prison sentence. In addition to the prison term, the prosecution is seeking €3,000 in compensation for the victim for the emotional distress and lasting trauma caused. The prosecutor's report also details how the man threatened his stepdaughter to prevent her from revealing the abuse, telling her that if she told anyone, they would think she was "crazy."
