'A real loser, Mr. Trump'

A projective test is a psychological assessment tool that detects emotional or personality-related aspects. The projective technique is based on the ability to elicit unconscious reactions in the subject through ambiguous stimuli, reactions that, in some way, reveal aspects of their personality: likes and dislikes, values, priorities, and so on.

I would say that, despite being very appealing to the uninitiated and very photogenic in films and series, the current emotional exhibitionism of humans is rendering them obsolete. We live in an age in which restraint, discretion, and prudence have vanished. The "hide and seek" maxim—a wise Epicurean maxim—is unintelligible to contemporary eyes. Who needs a test to scrutinize a personality that we shamelessly display without any restraint? In fact, any stimulus from reality acts as an effective projective test: we reveal ourselves as we truly are.

This is what has happened in recent weeks following Trump and Netanyahu's unilateral attack on Iran, and the ensuing war that has destabilized the entire region. In other words, everyone has been showing their true colors.

One of the first to do so was Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI, who at ITB Berlin already interpreted the new golf war in terms of 'an opportunity for destinations like Spain or the Balearic Islands'. He also suggested that, given the positive outlook created by the bombings, Mallorca's hotel capacity might prove 'insufficient'.

A string of things followedinfluencers And various opportunists, based in one of the eccentric countries of the Persian Gulf, drawn by the prospect of earning a lot of money and not having to pay taxes. They all excelled at demagoguery, overacting, and immaturity. Invariably, they felt abandoned and couldn't understand why the whole world hadn't stopped to rescue them specifically. It was curious to hear them invoke the public system and then suddenly seem less enthusiastic about individualism, private enterprise, and the free market.

Along the same lines were expressed some of the many tourists scattered throughout the Middle East, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and elsewhere, who, due to connection difficulties, could not easily return home. They showed little empathy for the obvious complexity of the situation: 31,000 Spaniards in the directly affected region, 158 stranded in Iran, and an entire embassy to be dismantled.

Others who more than met expectations were the Mallorcan hoteliers, who, through their president and in record time, criticized the Spanish government for condemning the war. It's surprising they aren't more focused on the potentially catastrophic consequences of the crisis provoked by Trump on their vulnerable business: tourists are by nature easily frightened and hypersensitive to terrorist attacks and price increases. And of course, there's our absolute dependence on air connections.

The transport sector was also portrayed, as it is already requesting aid from all sides. And the real estate sector, which is detecting a significant migration of tourists, was also highlighted. top From Dubai and Abu Dhabi: demands have tripled in just 48 hours, with budgets up to €100,000 per week. It seems we always get the short end of the stick...

However, the most predictable of all has been the Great Trump, once again applying his erratic doctrine of the law of the strongest. We already suspected that our thousand-man man hadn't read De iure bello yac pacis, by Hugo Groot, nor Perpetual peace, Kant's philosophy. However, it seems he hasn't assimilated more modern and commendable figures like Ransom Stoddard—the man who (didn't) kill Liberty Valance—and his yearning to guide the Wild West toward a civilized society based on justice and legality. Even John Ford's filmography is an epistemology too divisive for Mr. Trump.

But it was projected most starkly when, to discredit the rejection of the war, he used the expression 'loser', totemic word in the vocabulary'USA' which divides people into winners and losers. And which presupposes, obviously, that both conditions are well deserved.
