The revolution of free things

PalmaWhat would happen if most people used their leisure time for free things, to let their money rest? Wouldn't that be a revolutionary act? How would our friend capitalism react?
On a Saturday morning, for example, we could go sit on a bench with a library book ready for enjoyment. We could watch people go by, imagine things about their lives, tune in to overhear strangers' conversations, and read for a while. Even better, if the bench we chose were under a tree, we could also enjoy a bit of relatively fresh air (I say relatively because the weather forecasts are not very hopeful). This situation would be almost perfect with a snack we had prepared at home. We could even feed the pigeons, which would keep us company (if you don't like pigeons, why don't you try to get to know them better? They are clever and funny, more so than many people I know).
We could also go for a walk. Since it's not the time to spend on gasoline, we could do it around our town. Look around us, rediscover streets, reactivate memories, say hello to an acquaintance... And all without having to pay for one of those ridiculous gyms where people walk just in front of a window.
Naps also have a zero cost. And with music, they gain many points. When my body was young, I really liked falling asleep to the 'Flower Duet', from the opera Lakmé (it's a hit by Delibes, nothing original). It seemed that those women were singing just so I could become calm, and thanks to them, I traveled in dreams to distant worlds.
We could think, imagine things. Will we reach 100 years old? How would we like to reach that age? What will the world be like then? Perhaps at this point we become very negative and it is better to let it go. But this is about free things, and anxiety for the moment doesn't have to be bought anywhere and we can get it easily.
What would happen if we didn't invest our free time in spending the money that it cost us so much to earn during our non-free time? There are inevitable expenses. But, does everything have to be an expense? Sometimes I try the experiment and spend a few days without spending anything proactively (the bills follow their natural course, which I cannot prevent). The feeling is strange, as if I were missing something. Just like when I quit smoking. But it is also satisfying, because it is revolutionary on a small scale.
