PalmaThe commissioner Víctor de Aldama has assured in his statement before the National Court judge Ismael Moreno that he was never aware that the former president of the Balearic Islands and current president of the Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol, requested or received commissions for the purchase of masks or PCR tests from the companies investigated in the Koldo case.

According to legal sources, Aldama has cleared the leader of the Balearic PSOE in his appearance. This statement is totally contrary to the one he made in November, when he did accuse the former president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, of having received commissions.

During the judicial declaration, he also assured that he never contacted Armengol, that it was the former advisor Koldo García who spoke with her, and that he does not know if there was also contact through the former minister José Luis Ábalos.

Regarding the 10,000 euros he said he paid monthly to Koldo García, he specified that it was not only for obtaining the contracts for the purchase of masks in the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, but that it was "for a package", which also included the management for the awarding of public works and other contracts with other administrations.
