PalmaEmbat de Manacor announced this Saturday that it will run in the municipal elections of 2027. It did so at an event held at the bar Can Lliro, which brought together more than a hundred people.

During the event, several representatives of the organization presented their diagnosis of the political and social situation of the municipality and identified as main concerns access to housing, social cohesion, structural racism, access to culture, destruction of the territory, sexism, and the rise of the far-right.

According to their explanation, the decision to run in the elections responds to the conviction that "Manacor needs another way of doing politics, with a voice within institutions, but with its body in the street". In this regard, they defend the construction of a project based on what they define as "transformative municipalism".

The party also claimed the need for a "consistent, rooted, and generous opposition", which does not respond to "personal whims or party corporatism", but is the result of the work developed over years by associations, collectives, and social movements of the municipality.

In their speech, they assure that the project is born from the accumulated experience in social activism and the conviction that "changing the world is possible". Likewise, they have called for collective organization and to face current challenges "with the enthusiasm for the struggle". The event concluded with a performance by Manacor rappers Little One and Pode, followed by a snack for the attendees.
