A militant denounces Negueruela in Ferraz for an argument
The general secretary of the Palma socialists is "absolutely calm" regarding the situation
PalmA member of the PSIB (Socialist Party of the Balearic Islands) in Palma filed an internal complaint a few months ago against the party's general secretary in the city, and currently also the party's spokesperson in the Balearic Parliament, Iago Negueruela. She reported a heated argument, but three party bodies at the island and regional levels dismissed the complaint for lack of evidence. Now, as has been reported Latest News And as Negueruela himself confirmed in Parliament, the affected party has appealed the dismissal to the PSOE's national leadership, which will have to analyze the facts for the fourth time. According to statements reported by Europa Press, Negueruela is "absolutely calm" about the situation: "I respect internal processes." "In a democracy, not everything goes, and the results of party congresses must be accepted, whether one likes them or not," he insisted, since the argument occurred after the party assembly in which he was elected general secretary of the Palma Socialist Group. The PSIB's Secretary of Organization, Cosme Bonet, framed the events as "a conflict between members like those that have existed for many years in all parties," and which "unfortunately often happen after complicated internal processes." In this regard, he said that the complaint was dismissed by the ethics committee, the executive committee of the Socialist Federation of Mallorca, and the PSIB's executive committee. "The events did not constitute grounds for sanction or misconduct according to our regulations governing conflicts between members," he said.
