The PP does not rule out giving support to Vox's amendment to speed up projects for large commercial areas
The Popular Party will review that the initiative does not go against the Sectoral Master Plan
PalmThe Popular Party is studying an amendment by Vox to the law on accelerating strategic projects to streamline large commercial surface projects, as reported this Monday by Europa Press. The PP spokesperson, Sebastià Sagreras, commented that his party looks favorably upon the administrative streamlining part that the initiative entails, but will review that it does not go against the Master Plan for Commercial Facilities of Mallorca (Pecma).
This is an amendment presented by Vox and which is not agreed with the PP. It is foreseeable that the popular party will vote against it in the committee meeting this Tuesday, but it is not ruled out that they will give it support in commission. Regarding this amendment, the PSIB spokesperson, Iago Negueruela, has also spoken out, criticizing Vox for "wanting to facilitate the construction" of large commercial surfaces while saying that it "protects small businesses".
For its part, the far-right party will demand that the PP comply with the agreements of the last budget pact. In fact, Vox spokesperson Manuela Cañadas will ask the President of the Govern, Marga Prohens, about a point in this agreement: the extension of the voluntary pilot plan for language choice to all regions of the Balearic Islands. The agreement included the commitment to promote the adherence to the pilot plan of at least one educational center in all regions of the Islands before the end of the legislature. "The PP signed a commitment with Vox and with the families of the Balearic Islands," she said, and warned that if the popular party "does not even comply with what they have agreed upon," citizens will have "a clear idea of which parties to vote for." "We do keep our word. We have a coherent discourse and exactly the same throughout Spain," she added, in addition to criticizing the PP and the PSIB for being in an electoral campaign, when there is still a year left until the elections.
