PalmaJorge Campos has not been able to preserve his position as head of the list for the Balearic Islands after the tensions he has maintained with the leadership of Vox this legislative term. Santiago Abascal's party has left him off the lists and has placed Maribel Cerezo as number one, as reported by Última Hora and confirmed by party sources to ARA Balears.

Cerezo is an unknown figure in the party, but in recent months she has participated in several Vox events. A university professor at CESAG, she has a degree in Marine Sciences, holds two master's degrees, one in Industrial Wastewater Treatment Engineering and another in Secondary Education Teaching, and a doctorate in Science and Technology. She will be followed on the list by former deputy Antonio Salvá, as number two, and the party's parliamentary assistant, Melina Merki, as third.

Although Campos had support from the party's regional leadership, this was not the case with the national executive, which attributed to him the responsibility for the successive crises that the Vox parliamentary group in the Islands has suffered this legislative term, in which those close to Campos clashed with the officialist sector, gathered around the figure of the President of the Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne.

Despite this, voices within the party environment considered that Campos could save his place as number one due to the difficulties the party has in filling the lists. Also because the internal crisis has been redirected and the organization has given significant responsibilities to former dissidents favorable to Campos, such as the current spokespersons for the parliamentary group, Manuela Cañadas and Sergio Rodríguez. For that very reason, party sources do not rule out that Campos could participate in the regional elections in a winnable spot. However, for now, he remains out of Congress.
