PalmGeographer and social and cultural activist Xisca Mir Socías will head the new MÉS per Palma coordinating committee with the goal of regaining control of the Palma City Council. The party announced the change in leadership at its highest body at what it describes as a "critical" time for the city. According to a party statement, the new leadership is committed to building a governing alternative "from a left-wing, feminist, and environmentalist perspective" in response to the policies they claim are being promoted by the PP and Vox parties in Palma. The eco-sovereignists accuse these parties of implementing measures that "drive residents out of their neighborhoods," particularly due to rising housing prices and the transformation of the city into "a commodity for speculation." Mir argued that this new phase for the party must serve to "reclaim the city for its people." "Palma cannot continue to be a business for a few while the majority are evicted from their homes," she asserted.

The new coordinator of MÉS per Palma intends to usher in a phase based on "active listening and close contact," with the aim of strengthening ties with the city's social fabric.
