The Consell de Mallorca has lowered the environmental requirements for importing waste from Ibiza in bulk. The agreement to start the pilot transfer plan has not yet been signed, but all documentation is formally approved and ready. The Omnibus Law was intended to be an instrument for regulating strategic business projects and will go down in history as one of the most deregulatory norms regarding territorial and environmental matters. The Balearic Technology Innovation Park (Parc Bit) was created in 1997 and opened in 2002 with the aim of diversifying the economy. The PP and Sumar-MÉS joined votes this Wednesday in the Congress's Territorial Policy Commission to request the expansion of the Special Regime for the Balearic Islands (REIB). El Pi has allied with a new party, Som Mallorca, and will present itself in the next elections under the umbrella of Coalició per Mallorca, with the message: "There is no more room for people in Mallorca". It proposes a decrease in the tourism sector and has positioned itself against the extraordinary regularization of migrants. Businessman and former vice-president of the tourist rental employers' association Habtur, Joan Serra, is its general coordinator.

The statement by former Spanish president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero at the Audiencia Nacional has shaken the control session at the Congress of Deputies and the debate on an early election is once again hovering over Moncloa. The President of the Government, Marga Prohens, admitted this risk in Parliament this Tuesday, and assured that the Executive has taken measures to avoid congestion. Vox once again attacks the unity of language in Parliament. The Government has warned that it will do the same with the agricultural law, the coastal law, and the budgets. But Vox is not losing its composure and interprets the PP's gestures in an electoral context. "They want to appear as moderate centrists now that the legislature is ending, but it's a lie," criticizes a Vox source.

The Government will approve this month the order for the preparation of the 2027 budgets with the aim of taking the spending ceiling to Parliament next October. This was announced by the first vice-president and Minister of Economy, Antoni Costa, who also issued a warning to Vox. Although the Executive wants to seek the support of Manuela Cañadas's party for the accounts, on this occasion it is not prepared to make concessions that have nothing strictly to do with the numbers.

The Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands has set a date for the preliminary hearing of the oral trial against the President of the Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne. It will take place on October 28.
