82 new homes approved in Palma, but only 36 will be at reduced prices.
One of the buildings will be built in the area of the Balear Stadium and another in Son Canals

PalmPalma City Council's Urban Planning Department authorized this Tuesday the construction of two buildings, one in the area of the Balear Stadium and another in Son Canals, which will house 36 limited-price apartments. Palma City Council explained that the construction will be carried out under the urgent housing measures law approved by the regional government last year.
The building to be built in the area of the Balear Stadium will have 64 apartments, 26 of which will be limited-price apartments. The Son Canals building will have 18 apartments, 10 of which will be affordable apartments.
Palma City Council's Urban Planning Councilor, Óscar Fidalgo, explained that these apartments will be launched on the market with rental prices between €650 and €1,100, and that future tenants will enjoy advantages such as total exemption from paying property tax.
"This government team continues to support the construction of social housing on both heritage and public land," he claimed. In the coming months, he announced, construction will begin on 166 homes on municipal land, and public land is already being finalized, allowing for the construction of another 1,200.
