Access to Palma via the Manacor road is closed due to a burst pipe.

PalmPalma's Local Police closed access to Palma this morning via Manacor Street, from the Can Blau roundabout, due to a water main break. According to sources at Palma City Hall, a burst pipe forced the traffic restriction. The break occurred at this roundabout, which is the intersection of the ring road and the Manacor road (Ma-20 and Ma-15, respectively), the Police explained on social media.

Local police anticipate that the road closure will likely remain in place throughout the morning while emergency repairs are carried out, and therefore advise using alternative routes. The closure of this main access road to Palma began early this morning, during rush hour. Sources from Palma City Council explained that the outage has affected eight buildings, but that four of these properties have cisterns and are therefore self-sufficient in terms of water supply. The remaining buildings, they clarified, will have their water service restored once Emaya (the municipal water company) workers have completely resolved the problem.
