Aemet does not warn: heat puts Balearic Islands on alert
Thursday, in the Tramuntana mountain range the high temperature alert will rise to orange
PalmaThe high temperature will put the Balearic Islands on alert this Wednesday. There will be yellow alerts in Ibiza, Formentera, the Serra de Tramuntana, the interior, north and northeast of Mallorca. They will be active between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM due to the forecast that temperatures will reach 37 and 38°C. On Thursday, in the Serra de Tramuntana, the high temperature alert will rise to orange.
As this Tuesday, the fire danger index will be very high for Mallorca and Menorca.
The sky will be slightly cloudy or clear with intervals of high clouds from late afternoon. The temperature may experience a slight increase. The wind will be light to moderate from the south and southwest.
