Esteve Sureda (Vox) launches himself to speak in Spanish again, now in favor of the peasantry

The Vox spokesperson in Manacor again generates controversy by speaking in Spanish about the agreement with Mercosur, despite usually expressing himself better in Catalan

ManacorEsteve Sureda, spokesperson for Vox in Manacor, leaves no one indifferent. Not even those in his own party. If two months ago the president of the Balearic Parliament, Gabriel LeSenne, chose Sureda as a guide to speak out against people and groups trying to make a living with businesses like barbershops and stores on certain city avenues, now it has been the spokesperson for the far-right party also in Parliament, Manuel Cañadas, who has traveled to Portocristo to speak face-to-face with Sureda.

He did so to discuss the terrible trade agreement that the European Union has signed with Mercosur, the producers of South America, in order to distribute their agricultural products with greater ease and in clear unfair competition with local farmers. Up to here 'all correct'. What has happened again is that, following the parameters of the green party of ignoring the native but minority language of the Islands, they have made the video in Spanish.

A dialectical challenge for Sureda, who clearly expresses himself better in Catalan (in his Mallorcan variant if you like) and who would have been more natural denouncing the deal with Mercosur in his mother tongue. But these are all strategies, like those that lead him to formulate questions and motions in Spanish at every municipal plenary session, to then continue the dialogue in Catalan.
