Everything you need to know for the human chain of Trenc this Sunday

PalmaThe GOB has modified the organization of the human chain called for this Sunday, July 5, in defense of Trenc, after reaching an agreement with the organization of the solidarity day Mulla't per l'Esclerosi Mòltiple, which also takes place at the Club Nàutic de la Ràpita.

Initially, the Government Delegation had not authorized the concentration planned by the GOB in the Club Nàutic car park, because it coincided, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with the activities of the Multiple Sclerosis Association, which occupies the same space. Following the unfavorable reports issued by the Civil Guard and the Local Police, the Delegation presented the organizers with two alternatives: change the date of the mobilization or modify its organization.

Faced with this situation, GOB contacted the organizers of the solidarity day and the two entities reached an agreement. Thus, the environmental mobilization will not be concentrated in front of the Ràpita Nautical Club, but rather the participants will only pass through, without stopping, to head towards the Arenal de la Ràpita beach, where the rest of the action will take place.

With this organizational change, GOB presented a new proposal to the Government Delegation, which finally authorized the mobilization last Tuesday.

The environmental organization has emphasized that there has been no conflict with the organizers of the 'Mulla't per l'Esclerosi Múltiple' (Soak for Multiple Sclerosis), with whom it assures that communication has been fluid and the will to collaborate, total. In fact, GOB encourages citizens to also participate in this solidarity initiative.

The human chain, convened under the slogan 'Neither before, nor now, nor ever! El Trenc must not be touched', will begin at 10:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., the reading of the manifesto is scheduled, which will be carried out by the writer Sebastià Alzamora, and the media will be attended afterwards.

GOB also regrets that, despite the definitive granting of the permit, it has been disseminated in recent days that the mobilization was not authorized, information that it assures no longer corresponds to the current situation.
