A fire destroys a house in the Port of Alcudia

PalmA fire has gutted and destroyed a home in Puerto de Alcudia and damaged the apartment above it, although thankfully no one was injured. According to the Alcudia Local Police, the fire broke out around 1:15 p.m. this Wednesday in an apartment building located on Venecia Street. The fire started in one of the homes, which was completely destroyed and gutted. The apartment directly above was also affected, mainly by smoke. After receiving the call, the Alcudia Local Police responded immediately, ensuring that no one was inside the affected home, as there was initial concern that children might be present. It was later confirmed that no one was inside the apartment. Firefighters worked for more than half an hour to completely extinguish the blaze. Once the fire was out, the building and the affected apartment were sealed off until safe access could be guaranteed.
