A fire in Alcudia's electrical transformers could cause power outages in the area

PalmaThe Mallorca Firefighters are intervening this Monday in a fire affecting several electrical transformers located on Narquès street, in the municipality of Alcúdia.
According to information from the Alcúdia Local Police, emergency personnel are working in the area to ensure safety while awaiting the arrival of Endesa technicians, who will have to proceed with cutting off the electrical supply to allow for safe intervention on the affected installation.
As a consequence of the incident, interruptions to the electrical supply may occur in both the affected area and its surroundings. The authorities have warned residents of possible power outages while the extinction and repair tasks are being carried out.
For now, the causes that originated the fire are unknown, nor is it known how long it will take to completely resolve the incident. The Local Police have asked residents to avoid approaching the intervention area and to follow the instructions of the emergency services at all times to ensure their safety and facilitate the tasks of the teams working at the scene of the incident.
