The San Sebastián festivities will once again transform Palma into a giant open-air stage. Indie band Crystal Fighters will headline the first major concert of the celebrations on January 16th in Plaça d'Espanya, kicking off a musical program that combines internationally renowned names with a strong commitment to Mallorcan talent. This year's lineup includes artists and bands such as José de Rico, Guille & The Waves, Pitxorines, Toque de Llamada, Pelo de Gallo, Burning, Tennessee, and Héroes Tribut Band, among others, spread across different squares throughout the city and encompassing a variety of musical styles. "The San Sebastián festivities are part of our identity and our culture," remarked Lourdes Roca, Councilor for Education and Citizen Participation, during the program's presentation. A kickoff with a local flavor.

On January 16, Plaça d'Espanya will host the first major concert, featuring Teballs, Guille & The Waves, Temaso, and headlining the event, Crystal Fighters, an Anglo-Spanish indie band that will get Palma dancing with their festive and eclectic live show. The City Council emphasizes that the lineup strengthens the presence of local groups and combines formats and styles to appeal to all audiences.

The following day, January 17th, the Horabaauxes will arrive, changing locations this year and splitting between Plaza de Juan Carlos I and Plaza Mayor. At Las Tortugas, Víctor Magán, Óscar Romero, Manu Sánchez, and Tere Gil will perform, while in Plaza Mayor, Gintonic Bands, La Canción del Verano, and Madison will take the stage.

A street party by square and by style

The grand open-air festival on January 19th will once again be organized by square and style. In Plaça d'Espanya, the young electro-Latino act will bring together José de Rico, Henry Méndez, and Alex Martínez. Plaça Major will host Pitxorines and Toc de Crida, while in Cort Square, Burning, Tennessee, and Héroes Tribut Band will perform. In Plaça de Juan Carlos I, Buhos, Guaraná, Pelo de Gall, and other finalists from the PopRock competition will take the stage.

A program that goes beyond music

The festival program also includes the Ciutat de Palma awards (January 20), the giants' parade (January 24), the traditional "flight of stars" (January 25), and the closing fire run (correfoc), in addition to the popular toasts that will fill the neighborhoods throughout the festivities.

"We have prepared a varied and inclusive program, designed for all ages and tastes, with a clear focus on local talent, but also featuring artists with national and international acclaim," Roca summarized. Palma is thus preparing to experience San Sebastián festivities that once again place music at the heart of the celebration.
