German tourist stabbed in robbery of 100 euros at Arenal
A security guard at the establishment where the victim was staying alerted the emergency services.
PalmA 25-year-old German tourist was injured on Monday after being stabbed by a masked couple, also apparently of German origin, who allegedly stole 100 euros from him. Police sources told Europa Press that the incident occurred last night at approximately 11:39 p.m., when a hotel employee in the area alerted emergency services that a tourist had entered the establishment with a bleeding abdominal wound. The employee provided initial first aid to the injured man, covering the wound with a towel. The victim was then taken to Son Llàtzer Hospital in stable condition. Several units of the Local Police and the National Police arrived at the scene and conducted several searches in the area until they located and arrested the suspects. According to the officers' account, the now-arrested individuals assaulted the victim and his partner. However, when the man resisted the attack, the robbers pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach.
