The accident took place on April 19 on the Ma-1110, when the classic vehicle, a Porsche 356 B, in which Bergfors, 26, was traveling with two friends, also of Swedish nationality, went off the road and ended up overturned after hitting a stone embankment. Several witnesses stated that the car was traveling at high speed and making dangerous overtakes moments before the crash.

Specifically, the accident occurred at kilometer 15 of the Ma-1110, around 7 p.m. on April 19. Bergfors and two friends, a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were in the car.

Bergfors was the son of the founder of the Swedish chain Max, one of Scandinavia's best-known fast-food companies.

The Civil Guard is keeping the investigation open to clarify the exact causes of the accident.

The news has shocked the Scandinavian country, where the press has echoed the news. The director of communication for the Max channel has confirmed the death of the victim, but out of respect for the family they have not made further comments, according to the newspaper Aftonbladet.
