PalmEmergency services evacuated a hotel in Puerto de Alcúdia as a precaution due to a fire that broke out in the engine room. According to Efe, firefighters directed approximately 100 people to the second-floor balconies to wait there for safety, as several people were trapped in the elevators.
The Emergency Department treated 18 people for smoke inhalation—16 guests of the establishment and two employees—and transported two dolls, aged 8 and 13, to Muro Hospital. The remaining victims were treated at the scene without requiring transportation.
The fire broke out at around 8:55 a.m. in the electrical panel on the ground floor of the Leda II building in the Bellevue complex. Firefighters from the Alcúdia, Inca, and Artà fire stations were involved in the extinguishing efforts.
