In prison two people for selling cocaine from a well-known restaurant in Portocolom
The Civil Guard seized cocaine prepared for sale, a scale, tools for weighing, and cash during the search of the establishment
PalmaThe Civil Guard has dismantled a cocaine dealing point that allegedly operated in a restaurant in Portocolom, within the municipality of Felanitx, and has arrested a man and a woman aged 57 and 58, respectively, as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health and money laundering.
The investigation, baptized as operation Sotim and carried out by agents from the Santanyí post, began after investigators became aware of the alleged habitual sale of narcotics in this catering establishment.
During the investigations, the agents detected allegedly opaque economic movements related to the purchase of drugs. These operations allowed the investigators to obtain indications of the alleged commission of a money laundering offense.
Cocaine prepared for sale
In the search of the restaurant, in which a unit with trained dogs also participated, the agents located several bundles of cocaine hidden and presumably prepared for distribution.
In addition to the drug, the investigators seized tools for weighing the substances and cash, elements that, according to the Civil Guard, would be related to the drug dealing activity. The two detainees were brought before the duty court on August 15. After giving statements, the court ordered provisional detention for both, communicated and without bail.
