Investigate the death of an old man found on the coast of Ràpita
The Civil Guard awaits the autopsy results to determine the causes of death
PalmaThe Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death of an 85-year-old elderly man, whose body was found lifeless floating on the coast of La Ràpita, in Campos. It was around 11:45 a.m., as sources close to the investigation informed Europa Press, that a person on the beach called the emergency services and alerted them to the discovery of a corpse.
The man, about 85 years old, arrived on the coast dragged by the waves. When witnesses went to help him, they realized he was dead.
A Civil Guard patrol went to the scene and confirmed the death. The body will be subjected to the corresponding autopsy to determine the causes of death. Although investigators await the results of the forensic tests, there is a possibility that the elderly man had suffered drowning or some type of medical problem while in the water.
